JAKARTA (Ngaco News) – Prosecutors in the ongoing corruption trial of former Education Minister Nadiem Makarim today demanded the court disqualify testimony from former Google executives, claiming the witnesses were not actual humans but AI-generated entities.

The drama unfolded during a high-stakes session intended to address the Rp 2.18 trillion Chromebook procurement scandal. As the former Google executives appeared via Zoom to deny any "quid pro quo" related to Google's investment in GoTo, the prosecution team leaped to their feet in a state of digital panic.

“Objection, Your Honor! This is a blatant deepfake!” the lead prosecutor shouted, pointing a finger at the slightly blurred video feed. “Look closely at the witness’s left hand as he adjusts his tie—he clearly has six fingers! This is a rendering from Gemini designed to bail out their partner in crime, Nadiem. We demand the court dismiss this ‘Large Language Model’ immediately.”

He clearly has six fingers!

The prosecution further alleged a sophisticated conspiracy, claiming the fraudulent videos were being rendered in real-time using Gemini software installed on the very fleet of Chromebooks distributed during Nadiem's tenure. They argued that Google and the former Minister had conspired to siphon state funds to the fullest extent, using the laptops themselves to generate their own alibis.

However, the defense raised a stinging technical counter-point. “If these videos are being generated by the laptops you claim are ineffective and impossible to use in remote areas,” the defense attorney asked, “how exactly is this connection so stable?”

The lead prosecutor did not flinch, instead shrieking, “Objection! That line of questioning was clearly generated by Gemini!”

As the judge called for order, the prosecution launched into a new line of allegations, claiming the state’s losses far exceeded the initial Rp 2.18 trillion estimate. They argued that because the Chromebooks were ineffective for students, they were eventually repurposed fpr government staff. These officials reportedly operated under the impression that YouTube would be ad-free since both the hardware and the platform were managed by Google.

“Instead, the state was forced to pay for 'YouTube Premium' just to skip ads during official briefings,” the prosecutor cried.
